"Observing International Clinical Trials Day (20th May)"
International Clinical Trials Day CME by IPS, WB Chapter and IHS
As health care professionals, we all know that clinical trials are the ultimate step in the development path of newer medical interventions, be it drugs, diagnostics or devices. The success of a clinical trial project depends on how sincerely and meticulously the different stakeholders of clinical trials like sponsors, investigators, institutional ethics committee, site administrators, CROs, SMOs etc., Play their respective roles and contribute. But we should not forget the role played by the trial participants. Despite uncertainties of outcomes they participate in trials for benefit of others. We all should acknowledge the volunteerism of research participants.
Since 2005, the 20th of May is celebrated as “World Clinical Trials Day”, and this year too
We, on behalf of Indian Pharmacological Society, West Bengal Chapter with technical collaboration of Inovocare e-Academy shall organise a two-and-a-half hour academic event on 18th May, 2022 to celebrate International Clinical Trials Day.
